My Substack is, and always has been free. It does not allow for paid subscriptions.
I have found and reported a clone that has 73 paid subscriptions.
If you are paying for a subscription to Writing From Ithilien, then you are giving your money to a thief/plagiarist.

As far as I can tell, Substack has removed the clone! So I’ll be unpinning this post (and trying to remember to add info about “always free to subscribe” to my posts via the subscribe with caption).
