The 2024 Mythopoeic Society Events
The OMS Recordings (free!) and the CFP for Mythcon 53 (hybrid)
Tim Lenz, the Mythopoeic Society’s Conference Steward, has two announcements:
First, the presentation recordings for the Society’s recent seminar, “Something Mighty Queer,” are now available for viewing at the link below. Phillip Fitzsimmons, the Society's Archivist, and his team at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), posted the recordings on the SWOSU Digital Commons.
Online Midwinter Seminar, “Something Mighty Queer,” Recordings
The presentation recordings are open access, just as the complete run of Mythlore is, which means you do not have to pay to access them. Going to the OMS link in the previous paragraph will lead you to the program including the abstracts for each presentation. I highly recommend the quality of these cutting-edge presentations!
Second, the call for papers and registration are open for Mythcon 53, which will happen this summer in Minneapolis, MN. It will be a hybrid event, so virtual presentation and attendance will be an option for those unable to attend in-person. Hope to see you there!
